Wood clearance

these 2 piles have been resawn and sanded with 60 grit to a thickness of .220 a fat 3/16 suitable for cutting on a small table saw for planking.

a note on finishing wood such as the Bradford pearwood or any wood for that matter.

i refinished an Oak floor in one room and used a water based Polyurethane as a finish. That is the lower floor in the picture the upper floor is the kitchen finished in an oil based Polyurethane. At one time both floors were oil based finish and looked the same.

The major difference is that oil-based Polyurethane causes wood to take on an amber hue while water-based dries clear. So depending on what you use to finish your wood will drastically change the final color. Pearwood will change to a burnt orange with oil based finish OR will be a golden yellowish slightly tinted red color with water based finish

a few more items to add

first is a large billet of Bradford pear this was quite heavy to resaw freehand so the cuts are a little wavey Bottom side is chain saw rough

30 x 6 x 3 clear of defects as far as i can tell. $60.00

next 3 bundles are steamed pearwood ( Swiss pear )

bundle 1 long pieces are 18 inch the shorter ones are 15 X 2 inch wide SOLD

the sheets are resawn to a rough 3/8 thick
there are some small knots but for the most part a lot of usable wood $15.00

ebony bundles 30 inches long all random sizes rough cut most narrow pieces average 1/8 to 3/16 square wider one average about 3/32 thick. wider one average about 3/8 wide

color range from brown to black marbled figure on some pieces. For the most part i sorted out cracked pieces but cracks might be in some pieces.

model builders use the pieces for railings, trim and wales

there are some still not paid for it's been over a week so those will go back for sale.

each pile or bundle is handled as a separate order i do not combine piles because they get too big and too heavy and EV complains about having to pick them up if she is making the UPS run.
 
when you package is sent i will PM you a tracking number

some are sent USPS US postal and some are sent UPS the tracking numbers are NOT interchangeable so watch which way the package went

this is the holiday season and lines are getting longer both at the post office and at UPS so there might be delays
