I learned a trick or 2 in school when i was working on wood .
Trick #1 Wood Putty Custom made
Mix some water with some titebond glue or similar than add fine saw dust from the wood you are using mix it up and paste it into the damage and when it's dry sand and you'll have a natural wood match .
Trick #2 Wood Dents
Take an old Kitchen Knife Use a Glove to keep from being burned and heat over a Flame . Add water to the dent in the wood and touch the hot knife to the area with water the wood will swell up and you can sand it !
