Еще один способ.
  1. Делаем рейки 1х1мм
  1. Плашка для нарезания резьбы М1 и бормашина
  1. Прогоняем обрезок рейки сквозь плашку
  1. Итог

I really enjoy your build. You have explained your process very well and it has an appropriate amount of detail to fulfill a view of a ship build. Well done I say!
 
И еще один рабочий метод изготовления деревянных гвоздей.
Нужна заготовка из груши или черного граба. Очень желательно прямослойная и без сучков.

При помощи простого приспособления, напилил квадратных реек.
Смысл приспособления в том, что оно нивелирует зазор в пильном столе между диском и боковым упором. Таким образом, тонкую рейку не сломает при распиле.
Диск тонкий 0,3мм.
Приспособление приклеено на двусторонний скотч.

На АлиЭкспресс купил простенький ювелирный фильер.
Зажал в тиски и последовательно протащил рейку по отверстиям от большего к меньшему.
Что бы было удобно и не болели пальцы, использовал кусочек наждачной бумаги.
Итог. Достаточно быстро и абсолютно одинаковые круглые заготовки.

ive never done this but how about making the dimples or holes, then filling them with dark colored wood putty? once sanded they would look as if you used wood.

Пробовал и такой способ. Его минус, это грязь на палубе и невозможность ее удалить если дерево пористое. Любая шпаклевка имеет усадку. Соответственно, придется подшпаклевывать не один раз.
Цвет гвоздей из груши легко решается ее оттенком от почти шоколадного до практически белого.
Еще я использую иногда рыболовную леску.

how can i get a translator for this message? once upon a time a translator kicked in automatically now it doesnt. is it a setting i need to switch on somewhere? im using an android tablet and chrome.

This is the problem with this site. The automatic translator either turns on or doesn't turn on.
If you were viewing the site from a computer, you would easily open a new page with Google translation. My advice: Android Tablet is for children, watch a serious site from a computer.

The color of pear nails is easily determined by its shade from almost chocolate to almost white.

real computer, android for kids? serious site? hahahaha this is the only site i have this problem.

i dont use my desktop computer on the internet... its used to "compute." for this kind of non serious stuff, the android serves me well... plus it's browser n whatever are up to date allowing me to watch videos and cruise forums of interest. tablets are alot cheaper (disposable) to update than desktop computers which seem to get outdated much faster. also, any malware or virus attacks on my tablet wont destroy real data... i dont have anything worth worrying about on my tablet.
