working in garage

I work in the garage. I am in Charlotte NC. I have 2 benches set up with a ship on each. My wife prefers I work in the garage. Just open the door, kick on the fan, and tinker on ships. Works out better if I am spraying or cutting wood.

I live in Connecticut and have a wonderful area in the house I use to build. However she who must be obeyed has decreed that we will be moving to Tucson full time. The only place I really have there is a garage. I am planning on isolating one of the bays and installing air conditioning and having a semi custom work space built.

I live in the Tampa area and I can say for a fact that there is no way to use the garage for a workshop in the summer. Fall and Winter yes but summer no way.

I put a mini-splilt AC unit in and it's great !

I also have a mini split (2) zone unit. (1) zone for my Lanai & (1) for my workshop.
I'm located in central FL where the feels like temp. is now 104 degree's
The mini split was one of my best investments.

Yeah I'd do that in a heart beat but my H.O.A. doesn't allow any mini-splits. Thought about extending the central air into that space but the cost estimates I got were beyond absurd.

Yes, as I told Corsair My HOA wont allow it.

yeah when I lived in Maine I found it was always easier to heat the space than to cool it down. I kind of miss the smell of that wood burning stove,

I live in Florida and for the past 25 years my work shop was in my garage. During the summer, it was very common to be 95 degrees or more in the afternoon. This limited my building to the morning. We just moved into a new house and my wife insisted that I used a spare bedroom for my shop. Isn’t she great. I’m in the process of setting up my new shop now.
