Does anyone know where to find downloadable figurines of WW2 RN sailors in those longer coats? Anything, as long as I can 3D print them in resin.

Scale is not important, I’ll scale them to match.

And I don’t mind paying for them: I simply can’t find any. There’s tons of soldiers and such, some US sailors. But no RN in their typical North Atlantic cold weather clothing.

I’ve been looking at such figurines, but from this to a sailor in a tan coloured long winter coat and boots … hmmm. But thanks for trying to help.

Actually strange that there’s nothing on the market. Not even in those boxes with toy soldiers. Perhaps the Royal Navy was not to be toyed with ROTF

Yes. But … two problems: no long coats and boots and they’re already printed. But at least we now know there are actually RN sailors for sale.

Thanks for the effort though, really appreciated.

I’m looking for so called STL files. Or OBJ. Files I can send to my 3D printer. And I really did a deep search on sites like “stl finder”, “printables”, “3D cult”, and such.

Many soldiers, some sailors, but no World War 2 era North Atlantic Royal Navy chaps.

I also looked for plastic sailors at 1/72 scale.

Hmmm. I foresee a steep learning curve, creating my own in Blender or so.

It will be the RN duffle coat you will be looking for, try Googling Royal Navy Duffel coat figurines.

Mike, thanks. These are lovely. And indeed duffel coat. Will see if that brings any joy regarding 3D models.

Thanks!

My pleasure Marco and usually the duffel coat was accompanied with a hot steaming mug of kye (hot chocolate) firmly gripped in the hand.

I remember seeing these duffel coats in my youth. Surplus kit. In the fifties and early sixties there was still a huge demand for warm and good clothing. People don’t realise that only in 1967 the Dutch economy was back to the level of 1939.
