Hello to all and thanks for the opportunity to learn and contribute.
I am restarting my wooden boat modeling after a 30 year hiatus. In the past I have built a model of the Volante and the Creole Queen along with many other RC speed boats. Now with many years of furniture building behind me I am stepping back in with the Bluenose I from Model Shipways. At 3/16 scale this is about the smallest scale that I like. I hope to get to scratch building in the future with something in a 1/4 scale.
My kit should be here in May and I am setting up a work area now. I may be asking for recommendations of supplies and tools once I find all my old supplies. I also am thinking that my supply of veneer may be an interesting addition to the kit.

More to come once I review how detailed of logs are generally posted.
Thanks
Doug

Hi Doug

Welcome from Down Under.

There is a good post to read on "Tools I will need to begin 1st model kit"

Welcome Doug,

This is a very friendly forum with a great bunch of modelers. Looking forward to your build log :handgestures-thumbup:

I see that I am going to have to figure out photo uploading!
My kit shipped today so that is a good sign. I think I got the last kit around, everywhere seems to be out of stock. I will start a log with a review of the kit and my work space with it arrives.

Be safe out there on the seas.
Doug
