You can buy a small variable speed drill the same as Don's photo from ZHL models.
I have one myself and its great. Fits into the palm of my hand and handy for those hard to reach places.

I am also searching for one small and short electric drill (with or without cable) - much shorter than the typical Dremel or Proxxon etc.
In order to make the drills for bolts etc. also inside of a hull for internal planking etc.....
It should be light and short...... any suggestions?

After post from Whiskers -turning 60 to 68- we have a Dremel that turns 0 to 90 ? acceleration.
Seriously, I have used this attachment for years and it is very useful especially for working inside the boat.
