No need; the brass supplied by YQ is soft enough. Make sure your drill bits are sharp.Should the brass strip be annealed prior to drilling?

Too late on the waterways but I'll mask and paint the rails first.I painted all the rails and waterways prior to assembly, while masking the bond area.
Yes you can: It’s a personal choice how it look to you in real view. What I see on my screen is depending of the color setting of your camera, this web-site and my screen.Could I get feedback please?
Thank you Peter. I think I'm going to go with the red copper color but will probably reconsider constantly until its time to paint the hull.Yes you can: It’s a personal choice how it look to you in real view. I applied primer for a topcoat, but none for the application of stain. Is it necessary to apply primer before painting the paper wood or stain control?

Ted
I would opt for a brighter red, but… your shipyard, your choices.Got the first coat of white on the inner bulwarks.
I made samples of the other colors too. I red that copper red is correct for the hull, see sample, but a brighter red appeals to me.
I like the copper red too
Could I get feedback please?

I always like a coat or 2 of sanding sealer. Is it necessary to apply primer before painting the paper wood or stain control?

Thank you. I'll prime everything in the future.I applied primer for a topcoat, but none for the application of stain.
I think you're right. It's just too dull. The little lady should have a brighter finish.I would opt for a brighter red, but… your shipyard, your choices.
The supplied waterways are very fragile, plus they lay bare any inconsistency in your frames...I've been working for days on the butchered waterways.
Almost done and ready to paint again. For some reason this is nerve wracking and I can't work for more than a few minutes at a time.
Best regards
Ted
I'm moving slowly. Don't know what a monkey rail is.My build has a slightly deviating stern. That was giving me an awful load of issues, from frame pitches and waterways to the monkeyrails. Prepare to make some parts yourself. It'll take time but it will be rewarding.
