Having come back to ship building after many, many months away, I have started the ZHL Black Pearl and although I have looked through several build logs (and the ZHL manual) am mystified over the purpose of the copper strips over the Keel. Perhaps I have missed something here. Is the idea that instead of two leads +/- coming from the ship to the coffin, which houses the main junction between AC/DC connections, contact is made with these copper strips to the coffin, therefor no wiring is showing? If so, how so, if the contacts from the coffin are coming through the lid and not the side of the coffin???? Would it not be easier to have a 3mm m/f connection on the non-cutout side and channel the lead from the coffin into the display stand?

Many thanks in antisipation to all of your explanations.
