My daughter’s best friend has sustained her through some rough going. I was going to build tle Soleil Royal for my girl, but she asked me to build the Black for her friend first. So here goes.
We would love you to start a build log. Think about others who can learn from your build. BP is a really popular model\kit, thought.f your kit came with the figures ie Jack Sparrow etc you have everything to build all of the masts. I guess I should start a build thread and we can work together sort of. I'm actually ahead of you.\ just never got around to posting it.
Thanks. I’ll go back to the book. I must have missed it. I suppose I could enclose it if I really wanted to. Maybe even have a removable cut out? That's the big one that I've been working on periodically. The one Jay and Reggie are working on is the Golden version. It's about half the size and enclosed. There are 3 parts to the full kit (All Scenario Version) ZHL refers to them as "Poles". The third pole contains the top of the mast and the rest of the sails. The "all scenario version" was initially sold without the third part. Mine is a newer kit that had the third pole included. The instructions for the third pole were in the back of the book with the second pole. Here's the third pole; Third Pole

Very true. You could enclose it, there is one known as the all sealed version which is basically exactly that. It's cool to see the inside IMO though. If you don't have the third pole it would be really easy to work around it. All your actually missing is about 5 dowel pins and some trestle trees that would be pretty easy to make, as far as actual ship parts are concerned. A removable cutout would be neat. Keep in mind if you don't want to see the inside you can always just turn it around.
Third pole not there. Maybe I’ll improvise with diy.You could enclose it, there is one known as the all sealed version which is basically exactly that. It's cool to see the inside IMO though. Unpacking and salivating. Deadeyes are nice and big compared to the ones on my Connie. Reggie WarrLight), notice how the bottom deadeyes are positioned improperly like you did your first ones. We’re you just following their instructions? Interesting. View attachment 177232View attachment 177233View attachment 177234View attachment 177235View attachment 177236View attachment 177237
