I am inserting a photo of the finished model from the Sergal - President Art kit. 792.

Among Chapman's plans, a pattern for the kit was found - the English West India Trader. Unfortunately for my construction late.

The kit was modified to greater historical fidelity, the 1:60 scale was finally adjusted to a more accurate 1:90.

Breathtaking beautiful - I would like to add this to the Shipbuilders Showcase.

From 11.09. to 19.09.2021, with my ship model, I participated in the World Championship of Category C in Rijeka, Croatia. Naturally in the C8 category, which is a recently opened category for models made of kits. Competing against other models and judged by a strict committee, the model was awarded 87.67 points, which was enough to earn a bronze medal. Following silver medals in previous smaller competitions, I came to face a strict requirement to comply with ship plans, which is one of the award criteria according to the international organization NAVIGA, up to 10 points out of a hundred. The inadequacy was caused by my complete reconstruction of the "imaginary ship President" kit and my ignorance of how to edit the documentation correctly.
Nevertheless, I am extremely satisfied with the result. This proves that a properly well built model from a poor kit can succeed in an international competition... o_O

Congratulations also from my side - such a competition is a real experience and also helpful to get real feetback from the judges and other modelers.
Especially the Naviga rules are very special to understand the thinking of the judges.

I am happy to see one very good friend of mine, and btw. a very good modeler (several gold medals), who is acting also often as a judge - Zjelko Skomersic.
During my years living in Croatia I was often visiting him and worked together with him in his workshop in Krk on iland Krk.
Maybe he was also judging your model.......

Thank you very much everyone for your positive words. I am glad that I was able to take part in this event and experience the atmosphere and the work of the judges.
Zeljko Skomeršič evaluated only classes C1 and C3. During a trip to his museum on the island of Krk, as WC participants, we had an above-standard lecture and a demonstration of the workshop.
I took a few photos on the spot myself. More photos can be viewed together with the results here: https://wc2021.hsb.hr/gallery/ https://www.shipmodeling.ru/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=75025&start=15

Many Thanks for these links
very interesting models were participating and I recognized some well known names in the list of the results.
And it is good to see my friend Zeljko - yes - very typical studying the literature and with checking with magnifying glasses
