does anyone know if english cutters carried a ships boat on board or was it always towed behind . working on a 1:48 scale ship and can't seem to find the answer anywhere.

I guess, it depends on the size of the cutter, deck accommodations, and not the Country of origin. so..., it is HMS Shine, very good. We would love to see the build log of her! Please consider sharing with us your build log, hence, we can help you more efficient togetherthanks for the advice jimsky. yeah there is not a lot of spare space on a cutter's deck . the project i am working on is the mantua kit HMS Shine. i will post some pics of her after i work out some of the scale problems with the fittings sent with the kit ( sizes all over the map).
