The Glory of Catherine, 66-gun sailing ship, by Mr.Deep [COMPLETED BUILD]

The Day of the Black Sea Fleet (or the Day of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy, the Birthday of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy) is a Russian holiday celebrated annually on May 13 in honor of the creation of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy.A festive salvo. Upper deck guns. I also finish hitting the nails in the underwater part of the hull. For a change, I make mars platforms.

Today I spent the whole day getting nails and skinning, skinning, skinning.Sanded and sanded again. The underwater part of the hull took about 4,500 tiny copper nails.Well, I immediately went through the stain under the oak tree.IMG_20210519_213833.jpgIMG_20210519_213845.jpgIMG_20210519_213923.jpgIMG_20210519_213941.jpgIMG_20210519_213952.jpgIMG_20210519_214017.jpgIMG_20210519_214024.jpgIMG_20210519_214041.jpg

This are really a lot of nails !!!
Which size does these nails have? And where did you buy them?
Several members are looking for a source of small size nails ..... therefore the question

Uwe hi. In Russia, nails are usually done by themselves. Rolling a blunt knife on a model rug made of the desired wire. It's not a quick process, but it's worth it.

Uwe, Alexander is right. I don't roll nails. I take the wire of the desired diameter. I bite into pieces of 3-5 mm. Then I pinch the tip with thin mini pliers. With a small file, I grind off the top to get a smooth, flat cap at the nail.

Hi Mr.Deep, I use this exact method on my Le Coureur. Works flawlessly. Your nail work looks very good.

Well, I came from the dacha, you can show that I made a new one. A little, of course, but there is something there. I put the foretop and the mainsail. I made outboard ladders. I started making the stern, at the same time I put the platforms on the bulkhead of the bikged.
