One more to consider is Planking the Built-up Ship Model, by Jim Roberts, copyright from Model Shipways. Paper covers with 36 pages. A bit spendy but I got it when first starting out. Rich (PT-2)

Hi Allan!

Although I have been collecting shipbuilding books for several decades, I do not have a pure planking book. In many books, only a short section of the entire shipbuilding progress is devoted to planking.

"Planking Model Ships" shows all the basic steps, tools, adhesives . . . and is a valuable aid to the less accomplished modeler. My edition is updated in 2020 and has color illustrations. I like the booklet very much!
