Pocher 1:4 Ducati Superbike 1299 Panigale S Anniversario + Hardware-kit of Paul Koo [COMPLETED BULD]

Chapter 27:

Right Hand Electrical Panel.
From the Pocher-kit, only one wire must be attached: RF-02. That’s the wire to the spark plug of the rear cylinder, attached in chapter 5.

The parts:

Also here a lot of electrical wires comes together in and on this part of the bike. And are connected to the various components.
And Paul Koo added a nice overview picture on his DVD:

The wires added to the components in 3 stages:

With the ’painters crepe tape’ to imitate the ‘cloth tape’ around a bundle of wires.
The ECU alone has received 20 wires.

The panel, components and wires all fitted together:

And also here ……… relax....... take your time.....

With a picture of the completed right side of the bike, before the fairing is attached.

Incredible ... incredible ... I find the Mitsubishi sticker on an Italian motorbike intriguing. What is that component, Peter?

Hi Heinrich,
The part with the Mitsubishi sticker is the ECU. The Engine or Electronic Control Unit. A very complex part.
On this page they explain it mutch better then I can do:

It is a bit strange on a Italian bike, because in Italië they have Magneti Marelli. But obvious not good enough for Ducati. ;)

Chapter 28-1:
248 Hfst 28-1.jpg
Windscreen, Fairing TopHalf.

The parts:
249 Parts.jpg

A point of interest from Paul Koo's manual:
The windscreen screw holes are drilled vertically; when screws are installed, the heads do not sit flush on the fairing. This problem affects the front holes significantly since the area around the screw head is slanted.
The remedy is to modify the screw hole angles so the holes are perpendicular to the surface of the fairing. When screws are installed, the screw heads should sit flush on the fairing.

With some photo’s and instruction of his manual:

With this result:

With beautiful chrome Allen screws instead of the black Philips screws.

Regards, Peter

Chapter 28-2:
252 Hfst 28-2.jpg
Fitting Windscreen and Top Shock Ends Parts.

I have taken no picture of the 3 little parts per tube.
Here again an advice from Paul Koo because the tubes have to run differently:

The Blue-Series of the Ohlins Adjustable Active Suspension installed:

And you can see, the windscreen / tophalf is also installed:

And the front looks now:

The build of the Duc is done!.
On the data from the first picture of the unboxing, I saw it was taken on Juli 28th 2020. Now it is Juli 17th 2021. So, the build is completed in just one year.
In between the phasing out of The Lee and the start of the BN.
The construction of The Duc took some extra time, because in the beginning 3 projects was a bit to much. So then first finished the Lee.
Below are a few more photos. Then there are a total of 270 pictures in this build-log. I hope you enjoyed it. I liked it again, after that 1st Duc in 2016.
This one was a lot improved, especially in terms of paint. Most decals were also already applied to the cover parts and provided with a layer of clear lacquer. A nice tight whole.
For the enthusiasts: I think the Final Edition can still be ordered.

Perhaps, the driver will take some pictures during its first ride? Who knows, you will see.
PS:
Where all al those super detailing items? You don't see a lot of them anymore? You and I know: they are!
Thanks for all the view, likes, posts and comments. They where very much appreciated and stimulated me.

Hi Peter,

I cannot really add to what I have already said previously, but stunning and incredible come to mind.
I can just hear the distinctive idle from here, love that sound. :)
Thank you for taking us along with this build journey.

Cheers,
Stephen.

Peter, I am not a motor bike aficionado, but I do admire fine detail in modelling. The ‘Pocher Ducati’ you built is extraordinary and is worthy of display in a Museum! Well done - Lloyd

Thank you very much for visiting this build-log and for you kind words, Lloyd. Doing something different between the different ships is good for distraction. And adding details that you don't see later ....... that also requires a different mind-set. But in the Neterlands we have a expression:
“When you change food, it stays tasty.”
Regards, Peter

I know exactly what you mean; my son gave me three "Robotime" Chinese kits and they are a real nightmare to make, as the instructions have been written for the Chinese market. They are a puzzle in themselves to understand. When I have a problem with my HMS Fly build I start working on a "Robotime" kit; the change required in as you say "mindset" helps clear my thinking for HMS Fly. Best wishes, Lloyd
