How do the deadeyes on the spritsail topmast tie to the bowsprit?

I am building a ship called the Mirage. It contains a spritsail topmast. The question I have is how were the lower deadeyes tied to the bowsprit? I read that there was a special type of chainplate that was used for this purpose, but I can't find any details of how it looked.

I have to look if I have specifically chainplates images. They should be similar to the chainplates used in the ships from the same era, they just bolted to bowsprit instead of hull.

They are made from iron. See my previous image.

That's what I thought. I may try to make those things from brass strips. Not sure yet but that is where I am at on my model so I better decide soon...
