New design Le Cygne 1806 in scale 1:48 by Modelship Dockyard

Thank you for the additional information and fast response, @Modelship Dockyard! The Blandford looks really good and promising. I would love you to continue and posting any updates for the Blandford pilot model. Get ready to answer our questions, We are curious folks here. ;)
  • The frames are cherry wood timber, correct?
  • Can you show us photos of Blandford at earlier stages like keel and frames?
  • If I am correct, the Blandford kit is already going on sale or?
Please start another thread for LeCygne, we would like to see that kit in development and pilot model. This way you can attract more members to your products. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Jim ,this is the thread for the La Cygne

Planking, used Pear wood. We also designed clamps to help do the planking. And the planking is full expaneded(idk if that's what it called, it's just a direct translation from Chinese). The photo before last is shot before sanding btw, and the last one only sanded a bit.25.jpg26.jpg27.jpg28.jpg29.jpg

Very good details on the model - promising quality
One question to the hull planking - which is looking very good by the way:
Are these planks laser-pre-cut? they are looking like pear, or is it cherry?

The Stern of Le cygne. Worked all day on Speedwell, felling tired, more progress of Le cygne will come tomorrow, but maybe not today. And you guys will soon see Speedwell, in a new thread(LOL and there will also be a new one for Blandford), trust me, it will be really impressive.32.jpg33.jpg34.jpg35.jpg

Great carving work! Whenever I see those machine carvings, it amazes me what those machines can do, and it actually reminds me of my age (not that I forget about it). ;)

As we can see, there are some plywood templates for propper positioning (red arrows). Is this by design and the kit will provide those templates?
