Hello everyone, After 35 years of slumber, I have taken out the hull of my ship Friesland 1663. I have sorted the parts and I realize that I am missing "example images" windows made like those -this . And over time the green tint has faded. Could you tell me a color to solve my problem. Thank you and have a good Sunday.

Take 6 parts of Humbrol 109 (blue), 4 parts of Humbrol 33 (black) and 1 part of Humbrol 101 (green). The result will be a color close to what was in use on Dutch men-of-war in the 17th century.
For the underwater body take Humbrol 28 (dirty white/grey).
good luck
Excuse my ignorance, but I have seen green color used on windows for Dutch ships before, and in other models, red or blue is used for window glass. Can anyone tell me more on the topic of window glass coloration? What were the trends in color? Was colored glass used on ships? Did some nationalities favor one color in particular? I assumed the red color used in models for glass was an artistic expression and did not truly model the color of the glass used. Sorry for hijacking the thread, but this is a topic I know nothing about.

Regarding the green faded paint, would applying a layer of shellac or varnish darken the color and restore it to the original color? It may be easier than repainting it. If the wood is old, perhaps a green stain would be better than paint, because it may allow some of the wood drain to show through. A home improvement store can mix up a small can of stain to any color you desire. It doesn't leave the wood covered with a layer than obscures detail like thick paint does.

For better understanding: I don’t know nothing about colored glass on ships. Neither Dutch, nor foreign.
My suggestion was only about the color of the upper works. I can imagine Darvs Architectvs’s suggestion might work as well or even better.
