Thank youThe 1:65 would be smaller ship. The higher the second number the smaller the scale.
It would be read as 1" on model = 65" on full size ship.
Depending on type and size of original either scale would be a good build. A small ship in 1:48 is good size to work on and see, but a large Man of War or simuliar ship in 1:48 would take a lot of space and be tall when completed.
