I was given this model by a fellow modeler. His intentions were to do a restoration of it. I might have underestimated the undertaking but it will definitely be fun to restore, as I have never done a restoration before. As you can see the orginal builder didnt use any blocks at all in the rigging and then the deadeyes are another matter. Surprised that there are only 2 broken parts, the jib boom at the rear and one of the hand rails. Those 2 are easley fixable. I'll be adding my twist on how I do sails and my style of rigging. But also this will give me some experience in experimenting with different types of rigging types. Granted this will be one that i womt work on all the time but I'll use this ship as a getaway from future builds when I get bored. With them amount of wood filler that was left on the ship I will be painting the ship once I get all rigging dismantled and try to pull the masts out too. 20220325_210522.jpg20220325_210541.jpg20220325_210547.jpg20220325_210615.jpg20220325_210619.jpg20220325_210624.jpg20220325_210627.jpg20220325_210644.jpg20220325_210654.jpg20220325_210719.jpg20220325_210723.jpg20220325_210930.jpg20220325_210933.jpg20220325_211019.jpg

This one will definitely be a slow rebuild. And I have to order almost 300 block from drydock and might even get their deadeyes too

Good morning- I will watch this with interest. I have a sadly built Bounty as well and do intend restoring her. Project for another day.

No sir it's an older o

No sir this is an older occre kit
Only that Occre has been doing this recently. They started selling it as they thought Artesania had ceased to exist. And here's a surprise / Artesania has got up and is doing well. So it is strange that you are renovating something that has recently been built. Better to buy a new set and do it your own way. Artesania was selling this set while occre didn't exist yet !!! Even if what is occre it is a cheeky copy of Artesania. There are many mistakes here and it is worth supporting yourself with the book Anatomy Ship Bounty I corrected many things.

Occre started at 2000 and Artesania Latina 1970 !!!!
