Grants Xebec 1:60 (using Jabeque Cazador Occre1:60 kit) [COMPLETED BUILD]

This afternoon I continued with the fore stay. All my running rigging is going to tan rope with light blocks. Nothing is tied off, still figuring out where to.ROTF

Two pics to show the overall effect of the slider movement lines…aft (pic 1) and fore (pic 2). The fore line runs down through a single sheave on the stem while aft via a block attached to the bow sprit.

Great rigging details and great pictures, Grant. Good that you chose different colors for the standing and running rigging.
Regards, Peter

Thanks again Peter. Yep can’t just have brown rigging.? Hopefully will create a good overall impression. Cheers Grant
Very impressive rigging. I showed your work to R. She gave you an A+.

Jan
Thank you Jan. First A+ I’ve received ROTF . Clearly your admiral knows what she is talking about…:D
What's not to love? Great work Grant!
Thank you kindly Sir.
ROTF
It is definitely doable and with only three sails...
Keep the pressure Johan and I may buckle;)
No doubt about it she is a beautiful build, great work Grant.
Thank you Richie.
Cheers Grant

Good afternoon.

Tied off the forestay ropes. The running lines falls I folded in behind the strake on the bulkhead. Very small space and took a while….

For the stay itself I made a rope coil. Only 3 loops would have liked it with more substance but I misjudged the rope length. No redo tho. Battled to get camera for decent pic of this. This fore deck is getting busy and plenty lines still to come.

Great idea, Grant - I would love to see an overall shot.
I will do some soon H.
Quality ropes make all the difference! Add in your attention to detail and precision and it just shows what can be accomplished.
I agree Paul. My Victory I used a combination of kit rope and decent rope and the difference is noticeable…..it is worth the spend to buy good ropes and blocks. Not only does it finish a model off but makes Grants rigging ability look way better than it actually is ;) .
Cheers Grant

Good morning. Main mast stays done.

I did a Grants design and deviated from the Le Requin and Cazador rigging plans more for “why not” than anything else. The 4 middle stays each run via “double violin blocks”.
