Hello friends, as I already wrote in my first post back in July 28, 2024, I built three cardboard model ships. I have already shown you two of them. But health and technical problems have delayed me from presenting you the third ship model.
Today I want to introduce it to you.
I wanted it to be something military, so I really liked the 1:250 scale model of the German Coastal Armored Ship 'SMS Beowulf'. When I received the model I was disappointed by the fact that instead of assembly diagrams there was a work of literature. It was difficult for me to translate and understand. Luckily I found pictures of this already built model on the Paper Modelers forum and that saved me.
I start with first pictures from the construction of the model. I mean, it turned out to be a very interesting model to work with.

Hello fellow shipbuilders,
Today I will show you the latest pictures from my project. Building the model after the initial frustration of the lack of assembly diagrams was subsequently a pleasant experience. Despite some claims that it was designed by hand, the approximation of details is perfect. I made some minor additions myself.
I finish with a picture of the three model ships I already have. I am ambitious to continue with shipbuilding and will soon present you my new project.

PS Uwe, I read your post about the Hamburg museum with interest. Thanks for the opportunity to take a look at some models in absentia.

Really nice work and appearance - and then I saw the size, which is MUCH smaller than I had assumed given the level of detail! Surely the rails were not paper, but wire, right? And the forward part of the turrets really look spherical - were they done in paper as well? Well Done!

thank you to everyone who liked and commented on my project. This makes me ambitious to show you my new project soon.
* marter1229, do not hesitate to start your cardboard ship model. You will see for yourself how fascinating it is. You can start like me with the ISC Alert ship that I have already written about. The model is not very difficult and pleasant to work with.
*Signet, at first I tried to make the ship's rigging out of paper. I didn't like the result and replaced almost all of it with regular thread. The gun turrets are made of a sheet of paper but with good design cuts.
*Llaut Mallorquin, the railings - this is my second model in which I used laser cut details.
*Oktay Yaylacıkoral, neighbor, thanks for the comment and it will be very interesting to show your ship too. Who is the same age as "SMS Beowulf".

Very impressive. This has reminded me that I was given a card kit of HMS Belfast many years ago. I must still have the kit somewhere as I never did anything with it other than opening it to take a look. Must try and find it.
