Hi,

A while ago I was able to buy the Panart Royal Caroline kit from a garage sale.
The kit looks complete, but one thing missing: Instructions and plans.

Does anyone know if and where thess could be purchased separately?
Or if anyone has built the kit and no longer needs the instructions/plans is willing to sell the to me, that would be amazing.

Thanks,

Dirk

To add to the fun (and probably frustration) if you want to do some kit bashing, there are a number of plans of Royal Caroline (later Royal Charlotte) on the RMG Collections website (https://www.rmg.co.uk/collections/search/Royal Caroline plans?) . One example follows. The RMG description of this particular drawing: The drawing shows the inboard profile and midship section of the Royal yacht Royal Charlotte [ex- Royal Caroline] (1750). With a table of references and a note in pencil: 'Royal Caroline 1749 renamed Royal Charlotte 1761 broken up 1820'.

and in addition to the additional information Allan gave already take also a look here:

All together 7 scans of the Chapman drawings. Maybe you did not know them until now

and if you are interested also into the history, take a look at this topic:

I guess the Anatomy book you know already

... not that I am against bashing...but, bashing the Panart's RC is more frustrating than fun (ask me), the framework is wrong compare to the original plans not even in the dimensions but shape as well. You certainly can make some fittings from scratch as some of the parts out of scale. ;)
