I really hope you like the pictures ??

I'm still going to build the boat stand so that the toothpick support is no longer needed. There will probably be two small brass tubes on which the dinghy will stand until it is installed on the Athena.

Best regards

Unglaublich! Ausgezeichnet! Your tiny dingy is so great!

Maybe you explained it already, but how did you make the eyelets and cleats?
Hey Namariibu,

Thank you very much for your kind words. The eyelets and cleats are from photo etched parts I had made for my 1765 Victory build back in the day. I had them left over in my Victory box and thought I would use them. I will also use eyelets, cleats and other things from photo-etched parts for my Athena so that it really looks like scale.

Best regards

Wonderful, Gunther! Congratulation on this big (albeit quite small) accomplishment!
Hey Paul,

Thank you very much for your kind words. I was very pleased to hear it. Yes, it's really small, and I have to say that sometimes I really reached my limits. Looking for long periods with magnifying glasses is not always good. It's easy to see double, and that's without alcohol.

Cheers

Hey guys,

My dinghy needs an anchor, of course, and I have to say that I can't find one on this scale, unfortunately. That's why I tried to build one from solder wire (1.0 mm thick). Of course, it is not yet moulded and drilled and not painted. Mr McRoudy is once again throwing up his hands in horror at my building skills ...

Cheers

Bravo Gunther. This is a good boat. Cheers Grant

At that scale, your anchor looks magnificent! I would have used soldered brass wire, but it would have ended up looking less like an anchor than yours. But solder is so delicate. Pass auf!

Hey Namabiiru,

that's right, you're right. It's not particularly stable. It's only supposed to be a goodie. Thank goodness it has no function.....

Cheers
