Due to my limited processing capabilities, the progress remains slow, so I can only console myself by saying that "slow work yields fine results"!

The deck height was measured from the drawings, and the nesting accuracy is still very high!

Always nice when theory (drawing) and practice (model) come together, A very nice fitted deck.

It looks just perfect, Arban! did you use kit parts only in the platform assembly?

Really wonderful work Arban - I just read your log and you are doing an amazing job. I am over a year into my current project a scratch built French Frigate based on Bourdriots, plans La Renommee. This kit has always intrigued me, however I believe I would have such a tough time with it as I tend to remake assemblies multiple times to get them right.

As Albert has pointed out differences in tolerances from sanding char would drive me nuts and I would end up scratching many parts myself which would defeat the purpose of buying a kit. Although a well designed kit really could be a time saver for sure vs scratching everything yourself.

It looks like you build is very precise and I am wondering how much tolerance is built into every part. Any info here would be appreciated !
Chris
Thank you for the compliment! I typically use a micrometer to ensure accuracy to two decimal places. For such small components, I consider an error of 0.1 to be fatal!

Beautiful ! The Master at work !!!
Looks very delicate !
Did you get them the first time, or did you have some break as you made them and had to re-make them?
The deck part was completed in one go after repeated comparisons and measurements. This part was relatively simple! On the contrary, the seemingly simpler partition part I processed over and over again several times, but was never quite satisfied! The problem is that the partition and the hull cannot fit tightly together! In fact, if you zoom in on these pictures, you will see! These can no longer be called gaps; they are cracks! No matter how I look at it, I'm not satisfied! Just 30 minutes ago, I dismantled this part again! And remade it once more!"
