Is it possible to give a member distribution chart based on nationality or on land bases
That’s a very good idea, Korsan. I’d be curious to see it as well, but in those days, many members used VPN to mask their actual location in the browser, so the results would likely be inaccurate.

Hi Jimsky
You may be right because of the vpn‘s but an approximate result also gives an idea about the distribution of the members worldwide

Let's see what we can do... analytics need time to collect data, hopefully, in a few days, we will have the information.

Edit: Unfortunately, Ships of Scale does not include a mandatory location field, so geographic information was never systematically collected. Consequently, no reliable historical data on the distribution of members by country is available. However... I set up some analysis, and in a few days, we should have good results on active users.

Here is the promised report showing SOS member access by country for the period from April 7, 2026, through June 7, 2026. To view the complete report, you will need spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. The full report is attached. For ease of reading, the table below includes only countries with 100 or more members accessing SOS during the reporting period. All countries and territories represented in the data can be found in the attached file.

**** Please note that these figures are based on the geographic location from which members accessed SOS during the reporting period. Because many users utilize VPN services, proxy servers, or other privacy tools that can mask their actual location, the country data should be considered an approximation and may not be 100% accurate.

Hi Jim, a question...

Is this a report of Users (including guests) or only registered Members? I assume the former...

fascinating report.
The trouble with numbers is that they make you want to have more numbers. Like users per head of population. Users related to historical association of a country with ships,

None of which means a thing really. It’s all about a shared interest in making, building, representions of watercraft, and the comradeship which goes with a shared aim of improving your own skill and knowledge, and, most important, of putting aside personal differences and helping our fellow creatures.

Jim

Good to see that this forum is viewed so widely around the world, shows what a great place this is for those into model ship building of all kinds, and those few who list other projects we all like to see.

A well done for Donnie and all the admin staff for keeping this sight up and running for all of us.

It has been a source of lots of valuable information for me.

Only negative thing is that it shows great models being produced and my pocket books suffers from seeing what is available for future builds.
