.....but not new to modelling. I have just started building the Occre Revenge (well 3 - 4 weeks in) but have been building RC planes for years so alot of techniques and tools transfer across. I have got to the stage of finishing the first planking layer and just need to tidy up the gun ports etc before I start the final layer. I have spent a few hours reading and taking in planking techniques!!
One tool I didn't realise was so useful are the cabinet scrapers - wish I had found these many moons ago. They - for me - are better at removing precise areas plus they seem to give a better finish than sanding
