Great to see another build from you, I'll watch with interest. I think the LED lights will look stunning...

What type and mfg of adhesive/glue are you using? I really like what you are doing with the LEDs. What voltage will you be using? What are the details on the fiber optics. Voltage?

Little update on the Queen Mary 2.
Biggest problem so far is light bleed. Have to do a bit then wait until dark to check how much is leaking through.
Loads of foil tape everywhere to prevent it.
So, using 12v supply to everything, led tape lights for the main length of the hull and individual pre resistored 3mm led bulbs to light the .75mm and 1mm. Fibre optic cable held together in shrink wrap.

The swimming pools and spas having their first test. Nothing actually glued in the ship yet but just testing the individual sections first.

Little more various deck work. Still loads of trial fitting and night time light testing before final placement.IMG_1500.jpeg
Only discovered a few days ago that new clever electronics on led lamp bulbs now come with built in resisters in the actual bulb. Incredible IMG_1491.jpegIMG_1493.jpegIMG_1494.jpeg
Also been using this product for most of the smaller glazed windows, etc. Great stuff , looks the biz. IMG_1562.jpegIMG_1563.jpegIMG_1496.jpegIMG_1497.jpeg
Now the really boring tedious job of the superstructure sides . Individual decking to place. This is not with the kit but an after add on product. Then obscure plastic sheets on the insides, then several black outs to give some cabins lights off effect. Oh then smoked plastic railings on each.
So boring but looks good. IMG_1516.jpegIMG_1515.jpegIMG_1517.jpegIMG_1545.jpegIMG_1556.jpeg
More soon.

The Glue 'n' Glaze looks good, I might have to add that to my Christmas list. Also, let me know when your QM2 launches as I'd like to book a sea-view cabin! :) Thumbsup

Really nice work you have done on your model.
I was part of the site team with Carnival corporate ship building who over saw the construction of the Queen Mary 2. It was an amazing project to work on.

Spectacular. After building the 1/1200 scale version, I feel like building this one.
