Дорогой Сергей! Не надо делать нагели на всех досках палубы. На подавляющем числе досок никаких нагелей там не было и быть не могло, это был съёмный настил. По сути, вся палуба - это набор крышек для доступа к трюму, роль которого выполняло подпалубное пространство.
There is no need to install treenails on every deck plank. On the vast majority of the planks, there were no treenails—nor could there have been—as the decking was removable. In essence, the entire deck was a series of covers providing access to the hold, a function served by the space beneath the deck.
