I am an honest person and if I ever forget to send a product to my client, I will send it again from my account. because it was a sender error.

my compliments for the completion - and congratulations
very well done

Hello Algirdas, you’ve built a wonderful model ship! My respect and congratulations on that. With best wishes and regards, Holger Schwarz

Sails or no sails is an ongoing contention here on the forum. Personally I'm a big fan of having sails and in the end, what good is a sail boat with no sails? It's a useless pile of wood that can do nothing without it's sails. So ,I put them on like you did Algirdas and they make a model complete in my estimation. Very nice photograph's too. Nice and clear with a great backdrop color to show the lines. You can be proud to show your model anywhere at any time. Good work. Don't forget to put your name and the dates of build and the name of the ship and when the real one was built too. I print all that on the side of the keel on my ships so it's easy to find and not too conspicuous.
Don't stop now. Get another kit or do one from scratch. Either way, just keep going. Norgale

I agree. Putting sails on a model has advantages and disadvantages. The style of model you are aiming to build influences your decision to add sails. Traditional wooden models (models made 200 years ago or older) did not have sails. Admiralty model didn't have masts or rigging. I personally like sails, since my models are aimed at creating realistic appearing representations with as many details as far as the scale of the model and my skills will allow. Since fabric doesn't scale well on a model, many choose not to fit sails. Sail do not appear realistic with regard to thickness, texture, or how it folds. Some use thinner material like silkspan (thin paper), but you can't create heavily billowed sails since silkspan doesn't stretch much at all, so there are limitations. Silkspan can be quite delicate to work with also.

I can't argue with that Darivs and it makes sense too. Finding good sail material is difficult at best. But he has the plastic sails that come with the kit so I would think they would look ok, In his case it does to me anyway. Thanks for pointing these problems out. Norgale
