H.M.S. Enterprize 1774 1:48 - Modelship Dockyard by Corsair Build Log

So, here is a few more pics of the ongoing build. These parts are for both the bow and the stern.
I have also glued the pieces of the keel together but no picture of that since it just looks like a stick. ROTF
You can see pieces of the keel at the top of the middle picture, if you really want to see them.
The flat portion of the keel measures about 72 cm (or a little over 28 inches if you prefer).
I'm trying to work out in my head how to make the kerfs in the bottom of the keel and make them look good.

Did you taper the transoms after building the and before attaching to the keel ? Pertains to both the stem and stern. Thanks

Ok, finally have completed the fore deck frame work. I've decided that I would like a different color material for the decking, so I purchased some holly and now I need to cut it down and run it through my thickness sander. :) Here is a picture of the deck framing.

That looks very nice with all those joints, Jeff. And a (subtle) contrast with the wood color for the decking will look quite attractive.
Regards, Peter

I love your choice. It is a nice contrast with the hull planking and it is subtle. Some would argue it is too white, but others find it akin to a holystoned deck color. Others may not agree but looking at Victory decks and pieces of holly, the color match is pretty nice IMHO.
