Love those clamps!!! Your teacher did you a huge favor. I learned about these from master shipwright, author, and friend Ed Tosti when he gave me a couple many years ago. They are easy to make and really work well.

FWIW, very similar clamps are available commercially, not particularly expensive.I have used them for a while. Have to remember where I sourced them but the bolts fit between most frames, mandatory for outside planks IMHO.

Where are they available at? :)

ZHL model, China.
Shipping was fairly quick.
I also have their “scrapers” which have multiple shapes to make moldings.
They work pretty good, harder the wood, better they work, i.e. boxwood
ideal.

Thank you. Your joinery is absolutely beautiful !
I'm almost at that same point. I'll probably install the last piece of the Keelson today. :)

While preparing to attach the third layer of side beams, I suddenly noticed that the gunports had warped upward due to stress. The stern section, protected by reinforcing strips, was relatively unaffected, but the gunports at the bow and along the hull were significantly deformed. Therefore, I temporarily decided to prioritize adjusting the gunports this week!23-1.jpg23-2_副本.jpg23-3_副本.jpg23-4_副本.jpg23-5_副本.jpg

Catching up on you build. Very nice and superb execution a pleasure to watch. I have the 1:96 version but have not started yet. Gaining POF experience with the bluenose first.

Just a hint from me regarding the Inner planking below the Thick Stuff on 11 (10 inner)
I find it stops the Hanging Knees butting up against the Frames
It would be intereting how you get around this
