An extra detail for which I have absolutely no responsibility
Pavel includes excellent properly scaled 1/25th or 1/32nd resin figures in each of his two kits. A very nice added extra for his kits - But, this is not within any of my “skill sets” to properly paint this 3D resin.
Looked online for figure painting artists - no luck even for sending figure to be painted for a fee.. Searched online for pre-painted Viking figures - several were available. Ordered this 54mm Viking (which happens to be 1/32scale) from a company in Yerevan, Armenia. Very satisfied. It’ll look just perfect - to be placed on the deck or on its base TBD - I asked the company not to attach the feet to the base..
Though I may, later on, practice with Pavel’s resin figure

Good morning John. It is a really cool figure you bought. I remember when I tried to paint some of the figurines I printed out (just for scale purposes) for my Xebec they became a total disaster.

Hi Mates,
Looking at photographs of the actual boarding plank that still survived today I made some changes to Pavel’s two included in the kit. (see his listing image)
I did use the kit’s long plank. Unglued the steps that I had already attached, and scratch built the “steps” as well as adjusting their spacings.
I’m comfortable with these initial results that more closely look like the actual example that is on the Oseberg’s deck per their photographs…
The plank will be airbrushed into darker shades.

Hi,
Very minor update working with barrels. All four will be securely mounted below deck - planks will be left off, and placed to the sides.
I will try using this new product to blacken the brass strips. I've given up on Brass Black - way too messy IMO, Has anyone tried this liquid?

Hi all,
After adding the Viking figure - it, of course, reminded me that only women were buried with the Oseberg. Looked for the idea of also adding a female Valkyrie (shield Maiden) warrior to the finished details.
Oh well!! Not a whole lot available. FYI; what I found so far -And only one of whom are in 1/32nd -scale any guesses
??
Also noted that arguably the skeletons that were lated DNA'd belonged to much older women....
