Le Soleil Royal, 1:100 scale by Heller; length approx. 80 cm – height approx. 78 cm (I built this magnificent sailing ship model between 2007 and 2009
and extensively remodeled. It features some custom-made wooden frames and hand-sewn sails. I also used wooden strips. I replaced all of the cannons.
I carved out the balconies of the side galleries and clad them with wooden strips. I would appreciate it if you members could give me your feedback. High-quality model building has become a very essential part of my philosophy of life and is, in many ways, very therapeutic.
I think this forum serves as an excellent example and role model! I also notice that the tone here is very respectful and that people are very helpful. I am very grateful for that .Best regards, Holger

Hello, dear forum members,
In 2016, alongside my ship model building, I crafted and painted my first figures. While researching a model, I discovered some beautiful figures online. There it was again—that good old childhood love for historical figures. At first, I was quite satisfied, but I knew that if I wanted to continue painting figures, I’d have to push myself to improve.
In 2022, I shared a few figures with the public. I submitted photos of a horseman figure to the Berliner Zinnfiguren blog.
That was a great experience, because I received very appreciative reviews. From then on, I felt a very strong motivation to develop figure painting
into an art form for myself.
The philosophy that emerged from this for me was as follows: When I prepare for a figure, it’s as if I were preparing to take
a movie role. The more I know about the figure’s story and circumstances, the deeper I can delve into it and bring it to life through my painting. It’s a slow process that never ceases to impress me.
The result, once completed, consistently exceeds all my expectations.

Hello, friends. I’ve been working on this diorama for half a year. The figures are made of synthetic resin and are on a 1:24 scale.
I sculpted the figures, primed them, and then painted them with care and historical accuracy. I made the tree out of wood and modeling clay.
You’ll be seeing a few more of my figures—I hope you enjoy the photos.

Dear Jeff, I’m so happy that I can bring you and the other members so much joy. I’ve been creating figurines since 2016.
Over the past 5 years, I’ve made a name for myself in this field. Bringing a figurine to life is hard work. I work intensively on a standing figure for 12–14 days. On a mounted figure, it can take up to 6 weeks. It’s like preparing for a movie role. The better I understand and bring it to life, the more beautiful
the figure looks. I primarily paint with oil paints; I mix 98% of the colors myself.
I sculpt individual parts myself. With a diorama, it’s more challenging because I have to harmonize light, shadow, and contrasts within the group of figures through my painting.
For the Coldstream Guards, for example, I made the flag entirely from scratch—the flagpole and its tip were crafted by me from wood, and the flag itself is made of fabric and hand-painted freehand based on the regiment’s design from that era.
A few more projects will be on display in the coming days.

Nun zu einem Herzensprojekt von mir. Schon immer hatte ich den Wunsch, mir einen Doppeldecker zu fertigen im großen Maßstab.
Im letzten Jahr habe ich dann einen französischen Spad Doppeldecker im Maßstab 1:10 gefertigt samt Pilotin . Die Pilotin ist die heldenhafte und legendäre Amerikanerin Amelia Erhardt – Diese einzigartige Frau hat bis in die heutige Zeit Vorbildfunktion für Generationen von Frauen !
Der Spad Doppeldecker ist vorgefertigt und gebaut in Rippenspannweise mit Stoffbezug. Etliche Teile habe ich selbst gefertigt - Schablonen für die Hoheitszeichen sowie für die Kennnummern und den Zugvogel. Ich wünsche euch euren lieben Mitgliedern viel Freude beim Betrachten der Bilder.

Vor einigen Jahren bin ich in den Besitz dieser Fleute gekommen von einem passionierten Schiffsmodellbauer, es stand in ein paar Museen in Sonderausstellungen.
Er hatte die Fleute nach sehr guten Unterlagen gefertigt. Sämtliche Teile sind handgefertigt. Gebaut hatte er das Schiffsmodell in den 70er Jahren. jahren .
Es war stark restaurierungsbedürftig. Die Restaurierung habe ich selbst ausgeführt. Ich hatte das große Glück, das ich im Jahr 2011 bei einem internationalen
Bekannte Schiffsmodellbau-Restauratoren und Schiffsmodelle im Auftrag in seinen Werkstätten erfüllten ein Jahr lang lernen durften.
Ich werde immer dankbar und stolz darauf sein, von ihm zu lernen.
Ein Beispiel meiner Restauration ist der Heckspiegel, den ich anders gestaltet habe. Die Vorhänge habe ich aus Holz gefertigt – eine Heckfigur habe ich auch dort angebracht. Die barocken Hecklaterne habe ich nach eigenen Zeichnungen gefertigt - die Gläser dafür habe ich in Sockel und Deckel doppelt gekeilt eingesetzt, ohne kleben zu müssen . Vieles war eine Herausforderung – aber ich denke, ich habe das ganz gut gemeistert.
Dieses Segelschiffmodell ist allein aufgrund seiner Größe ein hervorragender Anblick, so halte ich dieses Modell in Ehren.
