A/L Cutty Sark

This will be a completely different build than any I have done before. I am going to try a new method I found in a modeling book. This method builds all of the masts and yards and sails off the ship and added once complete. I am including the book and method if you are interested in how I intend to proceed.

The big difference with this method is that all of the running rigging and standing rigging must be placed on the masts and yards prior to stepping them to the deck.

Well, what have I learned from this so far? Sure it was easier to set the yards and sails off the ship. easier to rig all of the running rigging blocks while still in the bench vice. Now I have a spider web of running rigging coming down from the tops to the main. It will take a lot of patience to follow all of the lines to the correct belaying points. We will see.
