BONHOMME RICHARD, Cross Section [COMPLETED BUILD]

Guys, thank you for all the likes and the time to follow this built.

Here we go with the hull ladder. Again, I followed Brad (@BradNSW) My ladder isn't of the same quality, nevertheless I am very comfortable with the results.

Post in thread 'Bonhomme Richard - Pear Cross section kit (with scratch duplicate using alder) Unicorn Model' https://shipsofscale.com/sosforums/...e-using-alder-unicorn-model.13555/post-420222

First added a piece of wood under the step provided by the kit.

Then I sanded the wood excess

Then I did a jig to do centered holes on each steps

Then I passed the rope and started to glue each step from the top keeping more or less the distance/position of the provided plan drawings.

That is all for today folks. I still have to glue the other side ladder.

Cheers !!

Thank you guys for the likes ... appreciated!!

A very nice addition, Daniel. Lots to look at on this model!

Thank you Paul, I appreciate very much that you like it !!!
This really is a great looking model. Thumbsup Any thought to going an extra meter and add the racks and then rig a few hammocks to them? This is rarely done from what I have seen, but could be an interesting extra.
Allan

Allan .... I tried to do the hammock. It isn't good, but looks nice when you watch the model from the distance and not zooming an image HAHAHA HAHAHA HAHAHA

Added the other side hull ladder and a "kind off " hammock :-)

Hammock is an awesome addition!!
Thank you Brad !!

I think it looks pretty good and is definitely an interesting extra not seen on other models. Well done.
Allan
Thank you Allan !!. It wasn't easy:-) You have to see the previous ones. This was the last one I tried and I said "enough, it is what it is" :-) . Please, don't suggest more ideas of potential additions... HAHAHA

I'm with the other guys - I would leave it as a conversation starter. I probably wouldn't add 20 more, however :).
Thank you Paul !!! I agree 100% -:)

OK for this build, but I cannot guarantee I will stay mum for your next adventure. :)

Love the nice glass the cook added to the bread, I can smell the sweet smell from here.

Ladders look great installed, as you said the close ups were showing out of scale closeness of wood grains.

COMPLETED BUILD

THANK YOU ALL. !!!!! For your comments and likes and your time taking a look to this built.

As I mentioned several times, if you plan to built this Kit and/or the new version, read first the SOS builts links I pasted on my #1 posting. Their built quality and naval information are excellent.

I did my best on this kit concerning skills and patience (that isn't too big :-) ).

This is a fantastic kit. The new version looks incredible nice. You don't need to be a master ship modeler to built this Kit. So, if you have "the itch"...... "go for it" !!!!.

I hope you all have enjoyed my build thread and I wish my images can help.

And here we go with those final images
