Bridge and Boat Diorama

I would choose colour combination 7.
Close to the riverbank the river would be like it usual, so everybody from the region will recognize their river.
In addition the deeper water in blue, so your „two face“ vessel would more visible and would direct more the view to the „action-area“ with bridge moving and vessel.....

Now that's a hard one to pick. I might upset your Apple cart and pick number 8 a blend between 3 and the brightness of 5.
A bit like this

Laying rock (cork).
It's a hungry activity. PVA glue gets placed in dish. Using tweezers, the cork gets dipped into the glue before positioning into place. The activity reminded me of a Chinese meal. :D

It is almost a pity having to paint it.

G'day Peter
I found this step by step diorama on YouTube and the waterfall looks great. Though it might help you in the future.

Thank you @Peglegreg , @Uwek , @zoly99sask , and @DocBlake for your reactions and comments.
Thank you Greg for video. Funny how the water fall never overflows ;):D. Lots of info there for future projects.

Painted the car park area today.

SOS members, I have a question. What am I to do about the side frame walls?

hGwBhw4.jpg

Sorry that nobody had any ideas of suggestions. :(

So I painted the walls white for starters. From there, anything could happen.
Played around with the Tromp-L'oeil concept. It could prove to be a novelty for the museum visitors. They would need to find the ideal view point, which is directly where the bridge operator would stand.

TOP: As it looks today.
MIDDLE: Digital painting to see what it could look like.
BOTTOM: Showing how distorted the image can be from a very different viewpoint (vp). Here the vp is from the bridge road.
