Chinese Plank on Frame (POF) kits

Bob Hunt built that exact Mayflower kit in recent times and wrote an article about how good it was.
I went to look for it, but its disappeared from his web page.
 
I recently bought the CAFmodel La Salamandre kit from Max at ZHL. He sourced for me the version 2.0 “B” upgrade with selected matched wood. Just got it. This is a very expensive, complex and high quality kit. Comparable to the best available. I would not risk this kind of expense straight from Ebay or elsewhere. Best to deal with someone like Max who is very helpful and communicates well. I went to him based on good reports here. See link for a big photo build log for La Salamandre.

Yes I did,they look good to me,there are build images I guess on one of the Russian site and probably on the Chinese forum on 4hmodel website .

Builder Tacc did a great job on the Druid right down to the furniture in the Captain's cabin. I like the semi-open decking so you can look inside the hull. One of these would be great to work on while glue is drying on one of my simpler POB kits.

With the wonderful info on translating Chinese instructions we are now fearless and not so worried if instructions are in English. I shall use this technique on some of the Italian instructions (and see if they make sense when machine translated) It seems that Corel and other Italian translated by a human are gibberish!!

There is a Chinese Co. that sells the POF Mayflower, I have bought accesories especially PLANKING CLAMPS THEY WORK GREAT, BEST I HAVE TRIED AND RESONABLE PRICE, it goes by the name of(jiangxuezuimei) everything I have ordered from them came in as described and at a resonable time frame. Don
 
Welcome back Bob yes I have seen the DUTCH STANJACHT and am interested in it GREATLY it is on my today list along with the MAYFLOWER, saving money for both will try to get one for SUMMER BUILD, and I hope you show BUILDING LOGS ON THESE KITS, AGAIN LOOKING FOR YOUR INPUT ON ITEMS. Don
