An interesting exercise for ship models is to photograph the model from a low angle, and superimpose a photograph of the sea over the lower part. Here is the 9 1/2 inch model of Gulf Stream, riding the swells in calm weather.

I remember reading an article many years ago in a Modelling magazine where the person had built a model Formula 1 car and then using Photoshop had mergered a photo of himself onto a photo of the model car to make it look like he was driving his model car.

I printed a picture of myself from 1981 the same scale as my Pride of Baltimore model to help show scale in photos. I was thinner then.
