There are such things known as a mill/drill. Having a dedicated mill just for modelling can be expensive....for modelling, a drill press may well fill the bill for such work.in my opinion. a drill press is a drill press, and a milling machine is a milling machine.
I have a full size drill press (Delta 17") but also have the Proxxon MF70 micro mill. I use both. A man cannot have too many tools!I have a dedicated mill and I use it to drill holes too with the proper bit. But I see your point.
