Deluxe materials modelite filler

Hi,
Im using Deluxe materials modelite filler on my latest build. Its great for sanding, but seems very fragile. Does anyone have any way of making it more robust after sanding please?

only use it for filling a very shallow place. If it's deeper, fill the void with something more sturdy, then fill the last little bit with the modelite filler.
