Rest in peace, DON, you will be missedWe are saddened to share the news that one of our longest-standing members, Don Farr (87), who joined Ships of Scale on January 9, 2013, passed away on Wednesday morning.
Later in life, Don found great joy and connection through model shipbuilding. After the passing of his wife, this passion became a source of comfort and purpose, helping him stay engaged and hopeful. His family is deeply grateful for the role that shipbuilding and the friendships he found here at SOS played in enriching his life and giving him strength.
The SOS community meant a great deal to Don and to his family, who appreciated the companionship and support he found among fellow modelers.
Rest in peace, Don Farr. You will be missed.
