Drill bits.

Hi, I used high-speed Steel Reamers: Accuracy: H7; Cutting Diameter: 1/8" to convert my both DSPIAE to 1/8. It was easy to turn by hand. Works great, excellent precision and much easier to find 1/8 bits vs 3mm. Not promoting, but DSPIAE is very light and has good precision.
Best,
Yuri

Hello everyone. I am trying to find a source for a micro twist drill bit set for my DSPIAE electric sanding pen. Because of the way the collet is designed it will only accept a 3mm round shank. I have looked online and nothing I have found lists the diameter of the shaft. And just to be clear it won't accept 3/32" or 0.11811. I have found some adapters with a 3mm shaft that accept different bit sizes, but I don't recognize any of these companies.
Have you looked on Temu? They have a vast amount of micro drills on their site at very low prices. I recently purchased a 50x1mm set for just £3.65 as I use these regularly and there's plenty of other sizes to choose from inc a mixed set.

Hi Bluenose2
In the attachment there are dril bits from Dremel (suitable for wood-shaft diameter 3 mm) & Proxxon drilbits (shaft 2.32 mm- for metal and wood. The 2.32 mm shafts can be wrapped with tesa band or something similar for fitting to the chuck . Another solution can be to substitute the original chuck with a varıable one if the original one is removable ofcourse.
Kind Regards

I found it interesting that DSPIAE includes a burr with the pen that is a 3mm shaft. However the carbide drill bit set they sell doesn't. They have a 1/8 shaft. I suspect it is for their hand drill. My new set is on its way from Japan as we speak. Couldn't return the DSPIAE set as I tried to drill a hole with my Dremel in the drill press and one of the drill bits broke. Much good info from everyone as to what these types of bits are used for.
