How does this work? To the best of my ability to research, the current de minimis (under $800 USD) tariffs are at 54%. So, if I'm in the USA and I order from you in Canada, but you drop-ship directly from China to me - what is the tariff, who pays it and when?

There are conflicting informations out there about the tariff rates, import charges ,tariffs, brokerages fees if there are any is responsibility of the buyer(s) you should get a notification from the delivery company whoever maybe about the fees and pay ,this ysiually happens before the parcel gets released from customs. The country of origin is matter regardles from where was shipped from.

You are absolutely right - it is VERY confusing. In another thread, you stated, "The kit price does not include the tariffs,in that case should be paid by the importer." So who is the importer in this case? If I go to my local department store and buy a Chinese-made item, the department store is the importer and has already paid any tariffs (and passed the cost along to me). If I order from you, aren't you the importer, despite the fact that it is drop-shipped?

Items ordered from overseas are already held up in customs long enough. If customs is going to bill me directly and hold the package until paid, any order like this could take months to receive!

The importer in this case is the buyer (you ordered the product from a different country)

I cannot be the importer unless the product was physically imported in Canada and sold to customers to other countries the buyer becomes importer too

Sigh.

I can't comment any further without getting political, so I'll let it stand at that. I truly wish the best of luck to you and your business in these difficult and confusing times.
