I've been busy with other models, but hope to do a second Dutch vessel at some time in the future. Hoving's book has excellent plans for 10 types of 17th century Dutch ships. It's a bit costly at $75 U.S. but that comes to only $7.5 per plan which is not expensive, and the accompanying text is well written and extensively illustrated. By the way, as you can tell from this web site, Ab Hoving is very generous in sharing his time and considerable knowledge. He answered a number of questions for me during the construction of my fluit.Very beautiful model of this strange ship design !!! Congratulations!!Fire
Do you build another Dutch ship?
Well done Polydoc. Congratulations. This is not an easy model.
Did you ever consider painting your models? It adds a lot to the atmosphere.
Oh, and Ondras: you can always call on me. I like scratch builders. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against kit builders, but there is usually not much to say about kits that make the builder happy...
Any time Ondras
Yes. I am a scratch builder and build for atmosphere and colour. I am just beginning my search for a suitable‘Fluiet. Regards. Woronora River.Well done Polydoc. Congratulations. This is not an easy model.

Thank you so much. I think this information and particularly the correct scale will help me immensely. I amWell Woronora River, perhaps you like this one? 90 feet long. Basic design. scale 1/77.
And another one, 125 feet long same scale.
Good luck.

Thanks Ab. I think I can work around this. Just looking for an easy way out.You are welcome Woronora River.
I do not know your system of building, but the reason why I don't have the shapes of the decks available is that I never felt the need for any. It comes automatically with the build. If you happen to have the free downloadable shipbuilding program Delftship (Google that) I can send you the file with the design, so you can see the vessel in 3D, but further drawings than what I sent you have not been made (and are not necessary as far as I know).
Perhaps you find some support in my tutorials?
Just a quirk in the program we used. Correct the lines and it will all be good. What is the meaning of the small irregularities in the lines in the stern of the second flight?
What I said: it's a matter of methods. I'm sure with your experience you will find the solution. Thanks Ab. I think I can work around this. Just looking for an easy way out.
