Esophageal Cancer

Congratulations on your wonderful recovery!! Thumbsup Thumbsup :D
Sometimes when I actually take the time to hear what is coming out of my mouth and my unsolicited opinions, I can do naught but reflect on my wife's enduring patience and unconditional love over 46 years of having to put up with me.

My wonderful Wife has been with me every step of the way, and what a help she has been and is. When I want to do a little modeling, I have found that if I tease her enough, first her Italian temperament goes into orbit, which is fun to watch, then she orders me to my work area to work on my ship, and leaves me in quiet solitude. You have to love the gals.

Funny comment about your hearing aids and wife -- !!! Haha - But seriously - Praise the Lord for your recovery, I have heard that this type of cancer can be very problematic.

At 82, just finished treatment for second bout of esophageal Cancer, looks like all is clear!
Also got hearing aids for deteriorating hearing, did not like them until I realized that they can be turned off, a big plus when you have been married for 52 years!
The "boss" disagrees with that, and has ordered me "not to turn them off " when she is talking, you have to love it.

First - good news about the big C backing off. Congrats,

Phew! this thread shows why some of us need to escape to ship modelling. SWMBO (She, who must be obeyed) Has a habit of timing her interruptions to the very moment that I've applied the glue, but not affixed the part, or I'm racing the glue to get all the clamps in place - or some such.

Pete, that just proves that Murphy"s Law is alive and well

I am doing ok. The final verdict is that most of the time I am just very stiff. Until I get up from sitting. My rib - back problem have been resolved via physical therapist for 6 weeks session and it did very well to solve the injured rib. (Which was brought on by trying to move a very heavy washing machine into my house - on my own.) should have known better, but it happened.

Glad to hear your doing better and things seem normal for the hearing aid problem.

Funny story, my sister in law, worked at the local Air Force Base in the hearing clinic where all the mechanics and workers got hearing tests. When my older brother got a job at the base, he had to have hear test. The other worker in the office had to do the hearing test for privacy reasons (government rules), but when his test was done, and he came out of the test booth, she looked at his results and said the famous quote "Your hearing is just fine, It's your listening that has a problem"
