Because Alex only needs a 3D file, I still have the right to use this file. So I plan to make it a decoration. So I asked a CNC friend for help. At first he used boxwood to carve, but I prefer the color of pear wood (actually the color of Swiss pear wood, but unfortunately he used Chinese pear wood). So what I got was the pear wood version.

CNC is certainly not the final result. I asked a Chinese sculptor to help me strengthen the details. The following photos are the final results. I really like it! Hope you like it too. Happy New Year to all friends of SOS!

Amazing job, Sam! No question: CNC makes wonders if the file is right!
János

Just a thought after having a look at the final version: in my opinion a slight manual touch could have helped in giving even more details at some places (like around fingers, toes, lettering, etc).
4 months is a long time. A manual carving like this could be produced in 2 weeks or so, but the CNC solution has its obvious advantages so a CNC carving could hardly be reproduced manually with all the details and first of all with its ease of repeatability. And after the file is done and the tool paths are finalised, the miller can churn out any number of repetition, probably with a few hours of work for each.
So, again, beautiful job!

I am not as good as you said. Because my favorite ship has not been engraved and there is no model company willing to develop them, so I started to learn 3D software. I'm just a beginner.
You are a true artist Sam. I admire the work you can do by computer, it is still your creativity that creates this art.

You are doing it really right, Sam, no need for excuses! By the way which 3D software are you using?

Now you make us curious, which one is it?

Dear sam
first of all, you are doing wonderful things, this is a masterpiece Exclamation-MarkOkay
I have a dream that one day, I too will be able to reach similar abilities of carving and engraving with the help of cnc.
I bought the 3018 Max, and I am unable to advance to the 3D carving level.
I would be happy if you would teach us what software and workflows you are using alongside the natural talent you have.
Thanks a lot shota

I only bought a set of ZBrush software. Then I signed up for a $1,000 3D online training class. The point is I gradually improved in continuous practice.
