First ship done

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the comments.
Question - which ship kit company is quite popular for value for money and quality? Occre? Billings?

Great work! For a first ship, it is very impressive.
I am currently on my second ship. Be warned: they are addictive!
I think this is because they are very complex but also very beautiful. And very very rewarding. About a year ago I thought the ropes were a complete mess :-) Now I see the logic and the beauty in equal parts.

The down side is that I spend more time reading books about the ships than actually building the ships! But this will change as I learn more. And, as a theoretical physicist, I appreciate the understanding even if my skills ar enot uip to executing what I know shoul dbe done :-)

Again- congratulations. Great work.

As for your next project - my advice is to pick a ship for which you can get one of the Anatomy of the Ship series. Very valuable for understanding the ship. There is one for The Bounty (which is almost the same as the Endeavour, which was my first ship.)

Thanks very much for the info and kind words.
I am fascinated by this lost era of skills and technology.
I am in aviation, and I am surprised to see how many aircraft phrases come from the era of sailing!
All the best
