Flying Cloud, American Clipper Ship 1851 - Scale 1:96, by Mamoli

Good afternoon Peter. Beautiful carving...I always admire the guys who have the ability to carve. Your preparation is one of the best I have seen, well thought out and spot on. You have woodworking skills for sure. CHeers Grant.
Thanks Grant, much appreciated. I hope to achieve and demonstrate how to create a well-proportioned continuous substrate over which to lay planks accurately and evenly, that bulkheads alone don't provide. The planking will only be a reflection of what's under it, like skin over good flesh and bones. This way you have all the time you need for do-overs, adjustments and tweaking, before putting lipstick on a pig. (I hope! )

Pete
