Oil coating. First stage.
I used linen oil.

The timber is looking great with this coat - I like very much that the nails are slightly darker with the oil - a very fine model!

What type of oil are you using. Seems to darken the wood slightly. She comes alive now.

Now, after the oil has lighted some previously unnoticed defects, I will try to eliminate them using card scraper and sand paper.

Oh..MAN!! I love the contrast between black hornbeam, Pear and blackened metal. Oil really deep the color. She is looking gorgeous!!
